By partnering with the CSG Justice Center, we can help your state strengthen and scale research-based services and supports for youth and their families.

CSG Justice Center staff provide cost-free technical assistance to help states develop and implement statewide action plans that use limited resources more efficiently to do the following:

  • Make communities safer
  • Reduce youth violence
  • Improve behavioral health and education outcomes for youth

Why Your State Should Join

Here’s what our technical assistance looks like:

  • Coordination & Collaboration: We help your state assemble a team of cross-system, high-level leaders (or leverage an existing one) to develop and oversee a statewide action plan.
  • System-Mapping & Prioritization: We assess your state’s current strategies through virtual system-mapping, listening sessions, and in-person site visits with state leaders, local officials, and providers to identify priorities and goals for improvement.
  • Strategy Development & Action Planning: We help your state use our national Youth Safety Playbook—which includes strategies related to policy, financing, infrastructure, services, and workforce—to develop an action plan tailored to your state.
  • Implementation: States that participate in CYPSI are eligible for more intensive, multiyear technical assistance from the CSG Justice Center to enact and implement their state plans.
