Aligning Health and Safety Community of Practice

In the summer of 2022, the CSG Justice Center convened a Community of Practice (CoP) to explore state strategies to advance local efforts to improve outcomes for people with behavioral health needs who come into contact with the justice system. Six states—Colorado, Massachusetts, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington—came together over four sessions to walk through the foundations of locally driven state policymaking at this intersection and received state-specific technical assistance related to their specific goals.
