States Supporting Familiar Faces

In partnership with Arnold Ventures, the CSG Justice Center is working in two states to advance locally driven state funding and policy strategies to improve outcomes for people who cycle through criminal justice, health, and homelessness systems—also known as familiar faces. The project supports subcommittees of state commissions working at the intersection of behavioral health and criminal justice to develop tailored policy strategies. The purpose of these strategies is to advance local efforts to collaborate across systems, collect and share data, and implement evidence-driven strategies to divert this population away from the criminal justice system and build connections to care.
